Mad for Midi Skirts

Top: Forever 21 (long sleeve version no longer available but I linked to the sleeveless option), Skirt: Chicwish, Heels:Lulu*s, Purse:Lulu*s, Bracelets: Made by me, Earrings: Bauble Bar, Rings: ℅ Lulu*s (obsessed with these!), Necklace: Made by me, Lipstick: Snob by MAC, Nail Polish: Minimalistic by Essie

I'm stepping out of my comfort zone a bit today in this outfit. I'd never worn this style of midi skirt before because 1. it's super girly and 2. I didn't think it would be flattering. While my style is usually not quite this girly, I loved the skirt so much and decided to embrace it's femininity. As far as not thinking it would be flattering, I was completely wrong. I was worried the the flare of the skirt would enhance my hips and make me appear larger. Instead, it hid them while accentuating my waist. It is so slimming! If you haven't' worn this style of skirt before, I urge you to try it. I promise you won't be disappointed. :)

Date Night

Top: Forever 21 (only $17.90!), Duster Coat: Boohoo, Skirt: Sugar Love Boutique (on sale!), Heels: Shoedazzle (similar here), Clutch: ℅ The Limited (similar here), Necklace: Nordstrom, Earrings: Bauble Bar, Rings: Lulu*s, Bracelet:Lulu*s, Lipstick: Snob by MAC, Lip Gloss: Turkish Delight by NARS, Nail Polish: Go Ginza by Essie

Lately, I've been challenging myself to only buy pieces of clothing that I can wear with multiple other items in my closet. If I can't easily think of 3+ different ways I can wear it with what I already have, then I'm not going to buy it. I usually gravitate towards fun statement pieces but there are only so many ways I can re-style those items. I absolutely love this duster coat because the options of styling it are endless. I wore it last week (see here) with boyfriend jeans and a pair of heels and in today's post for a date night with Colton. I'm thinking next time you see me in it, I'll be wearing it with a slouchy v-neck tee and my favorite sneakers.

Canadian Tuxedo

Top: LOFT (extra 40% off!), Skirt: LOFT (40% off today!--size down), Heels: Lulu*s, Bag: ℅ Lulu*s (similar here), Sunglasses: Ruche (similar here), Belt: Old Navy (similar here), Earrings: Nordstrom RackBracelets:Lulu*s & made by me, Necklace: Kate Spade, Nail Polish: Go Ginza by Essie, Lipstick: Pink Plaid by MAC

Ever since Olivia Palermo wore this outfit to NYFW last Fall, I've been on the hunt for the perfect denim skirt to try and recreate the look. I'd had my eye on this skirt from LOFT for weeks and when I saw that it was 50% off (it still is!) I finally decided to bite the bullet and get it as a little birthday treat for myself. I paired it with my favorite chambray shirt, grey heels, and a pastel pink bag to add a bit of color to an otherwise neutral outfit. What are your thoughts on the Canadian Tuxedo (denim on denim) look?

Casual Valentine

Duster Coat: Boohoo (only $30!), Jeans: LOFT (size down), Top: TJ Maxx (similar here), Heels: Shop Primadonna (love these and these), Bag: Kohl's (similar here and here), Sunglasses: Ruche, Bracelet:Lulu*s, Earrings: Target, Necklace: Kate SpadeNail Polish: Topless and Barefoot by Essie, Lipstick: Primrose by Revlon

I wore this outfit to dinner last night with Colton and his parents to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday. I figured since Valentine's Day is right around the corner, I'd get into the spirit a little bit. The weather in Phoenix is already starting to heat up (it's only February, slow down!) but I'm not quite ready to say goodbye to Winter just yet. This duster is perfect for this time of year because it's so lightweight but still gives you the look of a coat. The best part? It's only $30!
