Drape Front Faux Leather Jacket

How fabulous is this drape front faux leather jacket from Nordstrom? It comes in three colors and can be styled so many different ways. I can't believe it's under $100 because the quality is incredible and the faux leather is so soft. It also has ribbed panels under the sleeves to give the arms a little stretch and make it extra comfortable. The color of the jacket is the perfect mix between grey and tan, so it can go with just about anything.

I recently wore the jacket out for a date night with Colton and paired it with my favorite layering top (also seen here), black skinny jeans, and a leopard clutch. I added a pair of maroon statement earrings for a fun pop of color.  It can also be styled casually with jeans or denim shorts, a comfy tee, and lace-up flats. I've also worn it with this black dress and a pair of open toe booties.

On a sidenote, if you're looking for a pair of black jeans for Fall, I highly recommend these! I actually own them in three different washes because I love them so much. Thanks to their stretchy material, they're extremely comfortable and they're only $70! If you follow me on Instagram, you've probably noticed I've been wearing them non-stop recently.

Lacy Bell Sleeve Blouse

Good Morning! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Colton and I flew into South Dakota on Friday morning to surprise his mom for her 60th birthday. His dad put together a surprise party for Friday night and he ended up pulling it off! Around 60 of her friends came and he had a food truck come to the house, which was such a fun way of serving dinner. She had plans all day so by the time she showed up, almost everyone was there and Colton and I came out a few minutes later to surprise her again. We had dinner with Colton's friends on Saturday night and took a drive through the Black Hills and had lunch at Prairie Berry Winery on Sunday. The rest of the weekend, we mainly just spent relaxing, playing lots of games with my in-laws, and enjoying the beautiful weather up here.

Fall Transition with Luisaviaroma

Hello and Happy Thursday! I can't believe it's already almost the weekend again, this week has flown by! Colton and I were supposed to go to the Adele concert last night but she got sick, so it's being postponed until November. I was pretty bummed about it, but Colton took me out on a date and we ended up still having a fabulous night. Needless to say, I'll be counting down the days until I get to see her perform live in November!

I'm so excited to start dressing for Fall in the next month or two, but I am a little sad to say goodbye to off the shoulder tops. I love this one, because it can be worn on or off the shoulder and looks great layered under a jacket. I also love that the colors work well for Fall. I paired it with my black skinny jeans (they're so flattering!),a pair of wedges, and my new favorite bag for a Fall transitional look.

If you follow me on Instagram, then you've probably noticed my new obsession with this bag from Luisaviaroma. I love everything about it from the color, to the size, to the amazing quality. When splurging on a designer bag, I always make sure it's something that I'll wear often. I almost always select a neutral color, because those colors tend to go with most outfits. When I ordered the bag, I was expecting it to take a few weeks to arrive because it was shipping from Europe. Not only was the shipping free, but I was pleasantly surprised when the bag arrived just three days later!

Coral Chiffon Dress

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I'm so excited to be collaborating with Essense of Australia and Uptown Bridal for today's post!

On Valentine's Day 2014, I scheduled my first appointment to look for wedding dresses at Uptown Bridal. Aside from walking by their beautiful shop in downtown Chandler countless times, I didn't know much about them. Not only did I love Uptown Bridal's gorgeous selection of Essense of Australia dresses, but I was absolutely blown away by their customer service. I fell in love with the very first dress I tried on but wanted to make sure I looked at plenty of other options, so I also scheduled a few more appointments. The customer service and experience at the other shops didn't come close to what I experienced at Uptown Bridal. After going to two more shops and trying on countless dresses, I couldn't stop thinking about the first dress I tried on so I called Uptown Bridal to see if I could come back and try it on again. I wanted to make sure that my initial love for the dress wasn't just because it was the first one I tried on. After seeing myself in the dress again, I knew I'd found "the one."

Not only does Essense of Australia have absolutely gorgeous wedding gowns, they also have a beautiful line of Sorella Vita bridesmaids dresses. I love that so many of the Sorella Vita bridesmaids dresses can be styled for multiple different occasions. I'm actually planning on wearing this coral one as a guest to a friend's upcoming wedding. Oh, and can we talk about their sequin bridesmaid dresses? They would look amazing to wear for holiday photos or a New Year's Eve Party. I love this one, this one, and this one.

Flash forward two and a half years, and it's now almost my sister's turn to walk down the aisle. She was with me at all of my dress appointments and was so impressed by my experience at Uptown Bridal that she started her gown search there as well. After a trying on a few different gowns, she too found her perfect Essense of Australia wedding dress! I can't wait to share photos after her wedding in November. :)

Three Items to Transition into Fall for Under $100

I'm so excited to be sharing my favorite three items for transitioning into Fall today with Nordstrom. Cooler weather is just around the corner and I seriously can't wait! Arizona summers are pretty brutal (we're talking 100+ degrees for three months straight), so I'm definitely looking forward to busting out some of my favorite Fall items in the next month or two.

All three items are under $100 and they're all must-have pieces that you can wear all year long. I've also included styling ideas and sizing tips for all three items. Please feel free to e-mail me (sophistifunkblog@gmail.com) if you have other questions!

A long lightweight cardigan: I may or may not have a cardigan obsession. One of my favorite things about dressing for Fall is layering. I love how easy it is to create new outfits by investing in a few basic essentials, like this cardigan. It's lightweight enough that it can be worn now with denim shorts and a cute pair of wedges. It will also look great as the weather cools down styled with jeans and a pair of booties. I'll be posting a few more ways to style it on Instagram throughout the month, so be sure to follow along for more ideas!
*Size Tip: Fits true to size, wearing size XS.

The perfect pair of skinny jeans: If I had to pick a favorite pair of jeans in my closet, it would definitely be these. I actually own this style in three different washes because I just love the way they fit and you can't beat the price -- only $70! Thanks to their stretchy material, they're also extremely comfortable. I've worn these for over twelve hours straight and they never lose their stretch or get baggy throughout the day, which is pretty rare for stretchy jeans!
*Size Tip: Size up one size, wearing size 28.

A versatile layering tank: I've been wearing this tank all Summer long (see here, here, and here) and can't wait to layer it in the Fall. It's hands down the most worn top in my closet because it's so incredibly versatile and flattering. It looks great layered under cardigans, jackets, or vests during the Fall and also looks really cute by itself. I also like to style it with black skinny jeans, ankle strap heels, statement earrings, and my favorite leopard clutch for date night.
*Size Tip: Size up one size, wearing size 6.
