Accessorizing Your Staple Pieces

Dress: Old Navy (on sale for $20! -- comes in 2 colors & 7 prints), Scarf: LOFT (40% off! -- also available in pink), Sandals: Target (on sale for $23.99!), Bag: ASOS (only $27!), Sunglasses: Nordstrom (only $12--comes in 4 colors), Earrings: Nordstrom Rack, Bracelets: Made by me & ℅ Lulu*s (sold out--similar here), Nail Polish: Minimalistic by Essie, Lipstick: Pink Pigeon by MAC

Lately, I've been really into buying more basic pieces of clothing so that I can style them a million different ways and this dress is no exception. I bought it on a whim at Old Navy this past weekend because I couldn't resist the price for such a staple item. I'm already planning on going back to purchase it in black and in the red print because I love it so much and foresee myself wearing them throughout the Spring and Summer.

Just because I've been buying more staple clothing items recently doesn't mean I can say the same for my accessories. ;) However, whenever I'm buying fun accessories that I know won't get as much use as some of my more basic pieces I always spend significantly less money. I couldn't resist this fun new purse and the $27.00 price tag sealed the deal!

Little Striped Dress

Dress: Knot Sisters, Jacket: H&M (similar here), Wedges: Target (similar here), Sunglasses: Nordstrom (comes in 4 colors -- only $12!), Bag: Steve Madden (similar here and here), Bracelet: ℅ Lulu*s (sold out -- almost identical here), Lipstick: Persian Melon by Revlon, Nail Polish: Topless & Barefoot by Essie

I'm starting this Monday with a happy heart and feeling so very blessed. Colton and I had such a great weekend filled with a whole lotta family.  I had family in town on both my mom and dad's side and Colton's dad is in town for the next week. We spent Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday evening visiting with our families and had such a great time!

Another thing we were able to accomplish this weekend was finding dining room chairs and installing a new light above our dining room table with a little help (okay, a lot) from my father-in-law. The home renovation is nearly complete and now it's so fun getting to decorate the house. It's definitely been a slow process but absolutely worth it. I can't wait to share photos on the blog when it's all finished!

Festival Fashion with Revolve

Dress: Revolve, Bag: Jessica Simpson (old--similar here), Sunglasses: Aeropostale (old--similar here), Sandals: Target (only $29.99!), Earrings: Forever 21(old--similar here), Bracelets: Made by me and ℅ Lulu*sLipstick: Persian Melon by Revlon, Nail Polish: Topless & Barefoot by Essie

Festival season is just around the corner, and Revolve has got you covered for all of your fashion needs! When I saw this floral one shoulder dress, I instantly fell in love. If you couldn't tell I'm a sucker for florals, but I love that the background of this dress is black so it gives it a little edge. I wore a fun bright lipstick, heart sunglasses, turquoise earrings and put a few braids in my hair to make this look festival ready. I added a black bag and sandals to finish it off and keep it from looking costume-y.

The entire Spring 2015 Tularosa line, which can be purchased at Revolve is perfect for festival season. A few other items that I'm loving are this top (how great does Meagan look in it!?), this dress, and this romper. I hope you all have a happy Friday and a fabulous weekend!

P.S. The print of my dress is also available in a crop top (here) and a maxi dress (here).

Sleeveless Chiffon Jumpsuit

Jumpsuit: Target, Earrings: Forever 21 (old--similar here and here), Clutch: ℅ Missguided, Sandals: ℅ Lulu*s (old--obsessed with these), Lipstick: Snob by MAC, Nail Polish: Topless & Barefoot by Essie

You guys. This jumpsuit. I promise, I really wasn't even planning to look at the clothes while I was in Target. But of course they had it conveniently displayed right near the aisle so it was impossible not to see it as I walked by. And really, how could I resist? It was under $30! I'm also so glad that I saw it in person because it's one of those items that definitely doesn't look as good or true to color on their website. The color honestly doesn't look as good in my photos either. I don't even know how to describe it. It's this peachy, orange, sort of pastel, with a  little bit of neon color. Totally makes sense, right? ;) Also, if you're someone who doesn't love so much color, the jumpsuit also comes in black! And because I'm never one to shy away from color, I added some turquoise earrings and pink heels.

The Classic Shirtdress

Dress: LOFT ($25 off today!), Clutch: ℅ Missguided (old--similar here, here, and here), Wedges: Shoedazzle, Necklace: LOFT (also available in blue), Earrings: Target, Lipstick: Snob by MAC, Nail Polish: Go Ginza by Essie

There's nothing better than a classic white shirtdress. Why, you ask? Because there's a million and one ways to style it! In today's post, I opted for wedges, a floral clutch, and a pink tassel necklace to complete the look. I plan to style this dress at least once more in the next few weeks because I just can't get enough of it!

P.S. I hope your Wednesday is off to a great start! :)
