Happy Friday!...and Weekend!

Colton and I are going on a date tonight- dinner at my favorite restaurant and then going to (finally!) see The Great Gatsby. Between the massive amounts of food and Leonardo DiCaprio, I might not survive the night. Last Friday, we went on a date, just the two of us, for the first time in a long time. We'd gotten used to seeing each other so often that when we did go out for a date, we'd want to include our friends. We had such a great time together last week that we decided to make date night a more regular thing.

On Saturday, I'm getting together with some friends for a long overdue GIRLS NIGHT! Can you tell I'm excited? More on that next week ;)

It's officially, official. Summer has arrived in Arizona. For the past week, the high has been in the triple digits. I can't wait for it to "cool down" this weekend!...and by that I mean 91 degrees.

the blow dryer that changed my life

I know, I know...the title of this post sounds a bit dramatic. I should probably clarify that the blowdryer changed the life of my HAIR. Don't believe me? See for yourself...

(Sorry about the quality of the before photo, turns out I'm not so great at taking photos of the back of my head.)

I was always skeptical that certain blowdryers could really make a difference in my hair. I just figured a $20 dryer from my local drugstore would do the trick, because how much can one machine blowing out air versus another make a difference? Since receiving my HANAair Professional Air Dryer, I've found that it can make all the difference in the world. It has cut the time it takes for me to blowdry my hair in half and eliminates nearly all of the frizz. It's life changing, I tell you! I should also mention that in the above photos I used the exact same products to get the end results.

One of my favorite color combinations these days is coral and navy. When I found this top at Old Navy, I knew I wanted to pair it with these pants. (I'm wearing the same top in a different style here.) And yeah, that's about all I have to say about my outfit. Let's face it, looking at clothes is a lot more interesting than reading about them.

On another note, it really doesn't feel like summer yet even though I'm five days in. It better hit me soon though because summer school starts in just two short weeks....blah. These past few days of freedom I've spent making lots of jewelry while watching way too much 24. Seriously, how have I not watched this show until now?!
