It’s wedding week on the blog this week! Well, my sister’s wedding that is. 😉 It was so much fun getting to be her maid of honor and help her throughout her wedding planning process. It’s no secret I love shopping and fashion, so of course my favorite part was getting to help her pick out her wedding dress and our bridesmaid dresses.
My sister, Makenzie, knew that she wanted floor length bridesmaid dresses in navy to match her silver and navy wedding decor. Other than that, she was pretty open to styles, so we tried on a lot of different options before she decided on this dress. It comes in 34 different colors, so if you love the dress style but were hoping for a different color to match your own wedding be sure to check out all of the color options here.
I’m so happy with the dress she picked because it’s so flattering for every body type. Makenzie’s bridesmaids ranged from 5’2″ to 5’10” and the dress fit us all like a glove. I’m a huge fan of the high neckline because it works for women with all different bust sizes, which can definitely be a tricky issue when selecting a bridesmaid dress. I also love the unexpected cutout detail in the back of the dress which ended up looking so pretty from the side!
I also have to give a shoutout to Uptown Bridal. We had such a fun day trying on dresses and they were so accommodating to our large group of girls. Because we’re all different sizes, we had to try on quite a few dresses until my sister found one that she loved on all of us. They were so helpful in helping her find the perfect Sorella Vita bridesmaid dress and we can’t thank them enough for their help throughout the process!
Makenzie and I both had such amazing experiences picking out our Essense of Australia wedding dresses from Uptown Bridal. The good news is for all of your brides-to-be, the experience at Uptown Bridal is about to get even better. I’ll explain more in tomorrow’s post, so be sure to check it out!
Thanks for stopping by!
